Both the Exodus and Resurrect themes have been updated for better compatibility with WordPress 6.6.2. The themes were showing newly created (or updated) lists without bullet points or the correct indentation. The latest versions are Exodus 3.3.4 and Resurrect 3.4.2, which resolve resolve this issue. Update your theme by going to Dashboard > Updates and contact us if you need help.
WordPress 5.9 is now available and we’ve made updates to each of our themes to maintain compatibility. These theme updates mainly concern block styling. Changes were made in WordPress 5.9 that required us to update our styling for blocks in the editor and on the frontend.
Update: Church Content plugin 2.6 was subsequently released on January 31 to resolve an issue with WordPress 5.9. Exodus 3.3.1 was released to resolve an issue with the Gallery template.
Each of our themes and our Church Content Pro plugin have been updated for a better experience with WordPress 5.8 and PHP 8.
The core Church Content plugin did not need to be updated. Everything was reasonably compatible with WordPress 5.8 and PHP 8 before these updates so we waited a bit to release them after WordPress 5.8 came out in order to run through a list of minor bugs reported by users over the months. There are other improvements such as automatically linked phone numbers.
WordPress 5.7 is just around the corner. We’ve tested against a release candidate to ensure our themes and plugins are ready. Only a few small changes relating to blocks were necessary for maintaining compatibility. We took this as an opportunity to also improve accessibility and fix several bugs that were recently reported.
WordPress 5.6 is here. That means it’s time to update your theme and plugins to maintain compatibility. This version of WordPress updated the jQuery library, which broke our mobile menu buttons. Many jQuery events were also deprecated so we have replaced them. Please update your theme and plugins from us to keep your WordPress site humming along nicely.
WordPress 5.5 is out. It has some neat new features like automatic updates for themes and plugins and in-block image editing. There are also changes to the block editor’s HTML markup which means it was necessary for us to update the styling for all of our themes in order to maintain compatibility with WordPress. This update also helps keep our themes’ dropdown menus working on newer versions of iOS for iPhone and iPad.
WordPress 5.4 has been released. Significant behind the scenes changes were made to the block editor. These changes required our themes to be updated. We prepare updates in advance using WordPress release candidates to help ensure that your site is ready for each new version of WordPress. You can update WordPress safely today. Just be sure to update your theme to the latest version as well.
WordPress 5.4 is scheduled for release at the end of the month.
Church Content plugin version 2.4 has been released. This version is ready for WordPress 5.4. Additionally, it fixes a bug that manifested on certain servers, improves the French translation, and updates the Google podcast submission URL. You can update by going to Dashboard > Updates.
WordPress 5.3 has been released. Today we’re releasing updates for all themes that make them compatible with WordPress 5.3. We recommend that you update your theme, the Church Content plugin and WordPress to keep everything working nicely together.
Updates to the Church Content plugin and Church Content Pro add-on have been released. The primary purpose of this update is to maintain compatibility with WordPress 5.3, which is scheduled for release on Tuesday, November 12.
