We’re celebrating our sixth birthday this month. ChurchThemes.com launched as an independent theme shop in September of 2013. We’ve been committed to creating a continually smooth experience for you over these six years. In fact, we’ve released 190 updates to our themes and plugin during this time. We have more updates for you today and I also want to share with you about our new theme and work on a sermons plugin.
Theme Updates
All of our themes have been updated. We encourage all users to stay up to date. You may review the changes in each theme’s changelog.
- Saved Changelog (1.5.2)
- Maranatha Changelog (1.9.1)
- Exodus Changelog (2.6.2)
- Resurrect Changelog (2.7.1)
Companion Auto Updater
Want to update automatically without having to log in? We recently discovered a handy plugin called Companion Auto Updater that has saved us some time. It will automatically update plugins and themes and send you an email to tell you what it did. You can choose what to auto-update or not.
Jubilee Theme Almost Ready
We will be releasing a new theme soon. Here’s a preview shot of Jubilee’s homepage. This is a colorful theme with organic shapes (angled and square options available). It has been designed pixel-perfect for a refresh of your church’s website. It’s 95% ready and we hope to make it available to our package subscribers in the coming weeks.

WP Sermons Plugin
We have started work on the WP Sermons WordPress plugin. Churches like our sermon features but they have to use a compatible theme. While we are the leading church theme provider, we’re just one provider. There are tens of thousands of other themes out there. We want every church to have the best sermon archive possible.
There are a couple sermon plugins already available. They work, but neither of them check all of our boxes. We want to create a totally easy, beautiful and modern experience. Our goal is for this plugin to be the absolute ideal solution for churches using WordPress. It’s an ambitious goal so we will take our time working out every detail.
Thanks for keeping up with what we’re doing!
