New Mobile Menu for Resurrect Theme

Resurrect New Mobile Menu

Every church needs a mobile-friendly website. That means having a responsive design and a menu that is easy to use on phones.

Our Resurrect WordPress theme was launched with a very simplistic mobile menu that has been replaced with a new, more modern mobile menu which you can see in the photo above. We released Resurrect version 1.8 yesterday to make this improvement available to you.

Version 1.8 of the theme includes several other features in addition to the new phone-friendly menu. Here’s a list of what has changed.

  • Completely new mobile menu (same as Exodus)
  • New Customizer option to hide the search box in the top bar
  • Automatic hiding of the top bar when search, icons and menu are not desired
  • A partial Swedish translation by Emil Jonzon (about 60% complete)
  • A fix for a bug causing the background image to disappear while working in the Customizer

You can update your theme by going to Dashboard > Updates.

  1. Really like this theme. This would be a great replacement for a client’s theme that is no longer updated and therefore not responsive. I’m just curious how much I can customize the home page. Would I be able to add more content to boxes that span 2 columns or are they confined to single columns like you have on the demo?

    • Hi Craig,

Thank you for your interest in Resurrect.

Every element on the homepage is customizable and optional. You can choose whether or not to show the slider, highlight boxes, intro (title or text, both or neither), and bottom widgets. Widgets can be added, removed, renamed, re-ordered and each have their own settings.

The widgets on the homepage will always show in three columns (or two or one depending on screen size). There is no option for making a widget span multiple columns. The layout is handled with jQuery Masonry. You can learn about the behavior here: http://masonry.desandro.com/
