We’ve released an update to the Church Theme Content plugin that includes two new translations. These contributions bring the total number of languages to eight. We are very thrilled about (and thankful) for this. Version 1.3 of the plugin includes:
- Dutch by Het Kruispunt, a church in Alphen aan den Rijn, The Netherlands
- Swedish by Emil Jonzon
To use these translations, update the plugin by going to Dashboard > Updates in your WordPress admin area. Then, go to Settings > General and choose Svenska or Nederlands from the Site Languages dropdown. This will install the translation for WordPress itself plus activate the translation included with the Church Theme Content plugin.
The Church Theme Content plugin provides the interface in your admin area for managing content so these translations make doing so easier for non-English speakers. The Resurrect theme already includes Dutch (and six other languages) and was updated earlier today to include a partial translation of Swedish (which we hope to bring to 100% in the future).
If you would like to contribute your church’s translation for churches speaking the same language to use, please get in touch. We especially need more translations for the Exodus theme which is currently only available in English. We’ll provide you with credit and a free license renewal for your contribution to us and other churches.
